History
Bethany Baptist Church began its ministry in 1969. God worked in the hearts of the people of Bethany Baptist Church of Galesburg to see the need of a Bible Preaching and Practicing church in Altona.
Since November of 1969, Bethany Baptist Church has been faithfully proclaiming the truth of the Bible. The founding of this church was to provide a place of worship for people who believed in the Bible as the literal Word of God and who were not ashamed to stand for the principles that God teaches us through His Word.
We are still standing for Word of God today, and we will unashamedly defend the principles God teaches us in His Word.
